Behind Yay for Stray’s

Hi there. My name is Chantelle and I am the owner of Yay for Strays Cat Cafe. While I was watching an episode of Dragons Den, I saw a lady wanting to open a cat cafe. Once I understood the concept behind them, I finally knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. For as long as I can remember animals of all kinds have made me stop dead in my tracks and admire them. I adore their calm demeanor and gentle spirits. When I see an animal or are in the presence of one, that is when I feel most true. And like the world might actually be okay. It doesn’t matter if you’re a dog, camel, skunk, rat or hippo, I love all animals equally. I feel like they are my soulmates. We just understand each other on a spiritual level. For the past 6 years I have been saving for my very own Cat Cafe. I was born in Windsor but raised in Kitchener. I have recently moved back to my home town 4 years ago. It is here where I knew I wanted to open a Cat Cafe. So along with saving and a whole lot of thrifting and a great relationship with our County’s Humane Society, Yay for Strays Cat Cafe is finally here.
